FoodSec is a value-added service that offers grocery vouchers up to R24,000 per annum following the main member’s passing.
FoodSec is not an insurance product but rather a value- added service to provide support to the member’s family following the burial of the main member. A funeral benefit or policy only ensures that a main member or dependent are buried with dignity, whilst Foodsec ensures that they can buy groceries for 12 months following the funeral.
With FoodSec, you can rest assured that your family will have food security when you are no longer able to provide for them. For a very affordable monthly fee, you can rest assured that your loved ones will not go hungry.
SERVICE BENEFITS
A selected family member with a valid South African cell number will be nominated to receive a monthly digital voucher valued at R2 000 via SMS.
This digital voucher can be redeemed at Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper or a U-Save store countrywide.
Should the total value of R2 000 not be redeemed within a specific month, the balance can be accumulated and can be spent in the next month of within the 12-month period.
